Originally founded in Taipei, Beitou Squid Snack started with an alleyway roadside stall at Beitou Historic Station in 1979, where the founder Liao Papa served fresh and authentic squid stew that was immediately welcomed by people from all walks of life.

As time passed, the next generation took over the business and continued to innovate and develop new ingredients while maintaining the traditional local taste. After 10 years of continuous hard work and persistence on quality, hygiene and taste, Bei Tou Squid Snack began to gain much recognition and support from the locals.
